MedHive: Collective Clinical Knowledge Advancing Patient Care
Earn up to 1.0 ACCME, ABIM MOC, AAPA, ANCC, ILNA, IPCE credit/point
Join us May 1st, from 6:30-8:30 PM EST for a free CME dinner event and be part of an interactive, community-focused discussion on real-world experiences and challenges in adjuvant CDK4/6 therapy for HR+ HER2- Breast Cancer.
This MedHive™ educational initiative focuses on empowering oncology nurses, NPs, and APCs to deliver personalized, evidence-based care for patients with high-risk HR+, HER2- early breast cancer. Through case-based learning and expert insights, participants will strengthen skills in recurrence risk assessment, adverse event monitoring and management (including neutropenia, GI toxicities, and ILD/pneumonitis), dose adjustment principles, and nursing-led interventions that promote long-term adherence and persistence—with downloadable quick-reference tools to reinforce real-world application.
This activity is designed for APCs—i.e., NPs and PAs—oncology nurses, and oncologists who treat HR+ HER2- EBC.
After completing this activity, the participant should be better able to:
Incorporate clinical evidence on CDK4/6 inhibitor-containing adjuvant therapy into treatment plans for patients with high-risk hormone receptor-positive (HR+), human epidermal growth factor receptor 2-negative (HER2-) early breast cancer (EBC)
Develop supportive approaches to proactively monitor and mitigate adverse events (AEs) associated with CDK4/6 inhibitor-containing regimens in patients with HR+, HER2- EBC
Implement multidisciplinary strategies to improve patient adherence and persistence to adjuvant CDK4/6 inhibitor therapies, including patient-centered nursing approaches
