This symposium is designed for medical oncologists caring for patients with HER2-altered non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Participants will gain a deeper understanding of HER2 alterations and current tissue and liquid biopsy techniques for accurate identification. The activity highlights evolving clinical evidence to guide personalized treatment strategies and emphasizes proactive communication approaches to overcome barriers and ensure care continuity.

Medical oncologists who diagnose and care for patients with HER2-altered NSCLC in the United States

After completing this activity, the participant should be better able to: 

  • Describe HER2 alterations in patients with advanced NSCLC and the current tissue and liquid biopsies for their identification.

  • Evaluate clinical evidence on evolving therapeutic options for NSCLC with HER2-activating mutations into individualized treatment plans.

  • Select pro-active strategies to facilitate communication between patients and their care team and navigate barriers to care continuity.
